ALYNGARN BERNESE MOUNTAIN DOGS

Home

Our 1st major honour came with Fran Alyngarn Awardstar (out of Tess) in 1990 where she won a Reserve C.C. at Birmingham Champ Show under all rounder Terry Thorn. She was in post graduate class that day where there was 33 bitches on show. In Frans show career she won loads of classes. Just to mention a few, on three occasions she won Best Bitch in Show at the Northern Bernese Mountain Dog Club Show. Also winning a C.C. at Birmingham Chanpionship Show under breed specialist Dr Malcolm Willis. She won another Reserve C.C. at the Bernese Mountain Dog of Great Britain Champ Show, under breed specialist Geoff Wrighton.

This is where our lines started. We mated Chip to Fran and she duly had 13 pups. In amongst this herd of pups was to be our never forgotten Amie (Alyngarn Cherie Amour). The most gorgeous Bernese, she was everything a Bernese should be including first in the dish and last out. She was every ones friend, a cuddle, a paw and food was heaven to Amie. Our 1st home bred Champion was Theo. he was out of Nells last litter. Unfortunately the only one to survive out of a litter of five hence the K.C. name (Alyngarn Adversity). He was a real showman along with being a sound and agile dog.

Amie, above, was born 31/05/90, she was out of a litter of 13.A big girl even as a pup she was first in the food dish and last out. Her temperament was exceptional. She was lightly shown due to her being in season every 3-4 months, hence her coat was always on the blow. She had two litters to the same stud dog which produced Jett and Page (below).
